Dr. Stepan Demchyshyn received his Ph.D. from Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz, Austria, in 2023 under supervision of Prof. Martin Kaltenbrunner. His doctoral research, which earned him the JKU Young Researchers Award, included a research visit to California Institute of Technology funded by Austrian Marshall Plan Scholarship. There, at the group of Prof. Harry Atwater he contributed to the Space Solar Power project. His research primarily focuses on developing lightweight photovoltaics for biomedical and aerospace applications, aiming to revolutionize renewable energy solutions through innovative and practical approaches.
